A wall clock is something you look at every day, so it is one of the best places to bring meaning into a room. Islamic calligraphy wall clocks combine a silent clock with a dua or phrase of remembrance, turning a practical object into a statement piece for the living room, majlis or kitchen.

How to choose the right clock
- Pick the size from the wall, not the clock: about two-thirds of the furniture width below it.
- Choose a finish that contrasts with the wall, so the hands are easy to read from across the room.
- Hang it at eye level, about 150 to 170 cm from the floor to the centre.
- For a majlis, larger sizes in gold or bronze suit traditional seating.
