A glass shower screen keeps water inside the shower area and makes a bathroom look bigger and cleaner than a curtain. Every bathroom is different, so we make each screen to the measured size of the opening.
Types of shower glass
- Fixed walk-in screen: one fixed panel, no door. Best for open, modern bathrooms.
- Hinged door: a glass door that swings open. Needs space in front of the shower.
- Sliding door: the door slides on a rail. Best for narrow bathrooms.
- Corner enclosure: two glass sides that meet in a corner.
- Bathtub screen: a short panel fixed on the edge of the bath.
- Black or gold framed screen: thin metal frame or grid for a bold look.
What changes the cost
- Glass area: width multiplied by height of each panel.
- Glass type: clear, frosted, fluted or tinted, and the thickness (usually 8 to 10 mm tempered glass).
- Hardware: hinges, rails, handles and support bars in chrome, black or gold.
- Frame: framed and grid designs need more metal work than frameless glass.
- Site: wall condition, tiles and access in your building.
